Introduction to Marketing

 

Students will be introduced to marketing concepts of products and services and immersed through case studies and real-world simulations. Lectures and class discussions will be interactive with professors, industry experts, and fellow students. Analysis and discussions on real-world exercises will be utilized to cover marketing processes, concepts, strategy, and the Marketing Mix.

Students will be introduced to marketing concepts of products and services and immersed through case studies and real-world simulations. Lectures and class discussions will be interactive with professors, industry experts, and fellow students. Analysis and discussions on real-world exercises will be utilized to cover marketing processes, concepts, strategy, and the Marketing Mix. 

 This introductory course provides an overview of the key aspects about Indigenous peoples including Indigenous histories, cultures, issues, and present-day realities in Canada.  It will introduce students to some challenges experienced among Indigenous communities which stemmed from the significant historical events and developments imposed as Canada has developed as a country.  Some of the examples include treaty relationships, the Indian Act, the Residential School system.  The course aims to help students promote the healing process between Indigenous peoples and non-Indigenous people through the process of Truth and Reconciliation.
